Context:
A private equity sponsor purchased five grain elevator businesses that all had different risk management and accounting systems. The consolidated business managed a storage network of 50M bushels. The software systems utilized at the targets included both third-party systems and internally developed risk management and accounting systems.
Approach & Results:
We worked with management of the acquired businesses and the software vendors to determine which vendor and product was best suited for the resulting “go-forward” business model. After vendor selection was complete, we led the implementation of the selected vendor’s software working with an implementation team provided by the software vendor. We ultimately integrated the risk management and accounting activities for the consolidated business.
