Context:
Management hired us for valuation support in connection with the combination and intended IPO of two mid-market drilling tech companies.
Approach & Results:
We performed segment-level Goodwill Impairment testing for both firms and re-evaluated Profits Interest Awards using Monte Carlo simulations. We identified several inconsistencies in previous work by another firm and developed a corrected, consistent modeling approach for both companies to use.
